Little language question, what does "suki" mean in Japanese?. Literal translation is "like". But does it mean anything else in conversation?. You know like "i like it" or "i love it" something?
In anime culture it's usually used to imply romantic feelings, but it can also mean you like something like you like chocolate, for example. Funnily enough that idol song thing that's been doing the rounds on the net highlights this. IIRC it goes like this: Ruby chan, nani ga suki? Ruby chan what do you like? And she answers: I like chocolate mints and YOU IIRC.

So, TLDR Suki/Like is what a boy might say a girl, or a girl might say about chocolate or lattes.

It depends on context. It kinda of covers a range of both like and love and the difference is often left to who the speaker is speaking to or what they are speaking about.
