Why would he promised that? I'm genuinely confused as why people would want smaller updates over bigger ones. Make me scratches my head really hard. "Look at that its really good so we want less of it?" It just doesn’t make any sense to me. It already frustrated me a lot that he doesn’t want to do more that 14 updates but now you are telling me there are gonna get smaller and smaller? Baah.

I also prefer larger updates, but at the same time hate the long wait. Which is the tradeoff, smaller updates would come quicker. Even if the next couple chapters are shorter, I still don't see him making them that much smaller than the usual for this game. And I'd bet this one is taking a bit longer than usual because of the music setback after the last patch. It took some time to resolve that before they could get fully rolling on making 0.9.

Because he doesn't want 1 update per year to become the norm and because he has a 3rd game on the horizon that he wants to get to and he doesn't want to overstay his welcome with Eternum?

Smaller in comparison to 0.8 and 0.9, but still substantial. Something like 0.7 which had a fewer render and scene count compared to, say, 0.6 or 0.8.

Oh, yeah I was already hoping for this to be like 0.7 in content, was surprised he went for 4 scenes and even bigger update b2b. Honestly won't mind less scenes if we keep getting scenes like Penny 0.7 one

On the contrary, a November release means development hit a snag in the late stages. Otherwise it'll be mid-late October if Cari continues being consistent with his progress (which is 6% every 14 days following the latest percentage increase).
Thank God for smaller updates. We're approaching 1 year of dev cycle and it's hard to get excited when you're waiting that long...

Dont worry,Once the Quantum computers are a reality coupled with the AI reality and cheap enough to be available for common use which is in the next 20 years,We will get huge updates every month.

I just finished 0.8 and it was great. I have so many questions in my mind. What do you think will happen in 0.9, what are your theories? Another thing I'm curious about is which characters will get lewd scenes in 0.9? Caribdis said in the last status update that there will be 4 lewd scenes for 0.9 and that at least one of these scenes will be a threesome. I'm curious about your thoughts.

Considering that we're now at a point where group scenes are gonna be commonplace then having fewer scenes per update is understandable. Otherwise I fear for Dread's (Cari's Animator) sanity when all is said and done.
Good luck trying to get Cari back to that level of dev speed. At best he'll probably shorten it back to 7 - 7 1/2 months. Anything shorter than that and he might as well gun for only 2 scenes per update (which is not exactly ideal).
For the lewd scenes, a few pages back everybody has lean their theory on this , it goes like this if i rememeber right

If we somehow tackle Meiyo in this upcoming update then Penny will be a lot more likely than Nan (who just had a scene in 0.8).

Hopefully not... another update with nothing for Pen suck (we also barely saw her in 0.8 too).
Also Alex, Nancy and Dalia got lewds in 0.8 no? why would they have some again ?
But Luna and Caly seems like a given yes.

Just thinking about it makes me excited, each one will have its own unique and wonderful scenes. Also, the story ended in a very exciting way in 0.8, I wonder where the story will evolve in 0.9.

Well Nova got the threesome despite being in 0.7 too. Cari said there is gonna be 4 scenes with atleast 5 girls, so couple of them are bound to repeat. Penny and Luna are due for their solo scenes, Caly will get one in her realm and the final one will be a threesome. Also Nancy I think got less scenes than I would've liked considering her character so I hope she gets one again lol. Although highest chance is Dali/Alex looking at the sneak peeks so far
